Description

The centre ventilation shaft for the Morlais Tunnel is a circular structure made of red brick. It features battered sides and has raised brick square labels beneath a brick top band, which is topped with sandstone coping that supports a shallow-domed iron protective grille. The bricks are arranged in alternating courses of headers and stretchers.
