Description
The former calcining furnaces at Gadly's Ironworks are constructed from snecked rubble with stock brick dressings. The two main elevations are battered. The high southwest side features three visible apertures, while a fourth is hidden behind the garage of a neighboring property. There is a single opening at the lower southeast end. All of these openings are semi-circular; the one at the southeast end has been infilled, and the openings on the southwest side have been blocked behind the arch. The structure is overgrown at the top but previously had oval apertures where ore was placed for purifying.
