Description

This is an abstract bronze sculpture located in the forecourt of the Department of Music at Cardiff University. It stands on a brick plinth and features a composition of three trapezoidal wings, each approximately 3 meters high and 0.25 meters thick, fanned out across the wide plinth. Each wing has an oculus, with height and diameter varying in relation to the others. The sculpture reflects Barbara Hepworth's artistic philosophy of blending the formal perfection of geometry with the vital grace of nature.
