Description
Rosemount Funeral Home is a 2-storey, 3-bay house built in the Regency style. It features stucco walls and a hipped slate roof with wide plastered eaves on the front and side elevations, as well as end rendered stacks. The lower storey has a central replaced panelled door with a radial glazed iron overlight. The outer bays contain French doors, which are now fixed.
An upper storey cast iron balcony is supported by round posts with broad fillets and an open fretwork cornice. The central posts have brackets that project at cornice level, likely intended for bearing signs. The balustrade of the balcony includes thin rails and wave bars, with scrollwork in between. Three French doors provide access to the balcony.
At the right end wall, there is an added 2-storey wing with a single-storey lean-to in front, which aligns with the front elevation of the main range. An inserted window is located in the lower left end wall. Additionally, there is a lower hipped-roofed rear wing that projects from the left end wall of the main house. The property has not been inspected.
