Description

124 Bute Street comprises three houses, each two storeys high with a basement, and two window bays wide. The houses are built of painted stucco with slate roofs and classicising stucco chimneys. A deep dentil cornice runs along the top of the facades. The first-floor windows are sash windows, each framed by architraves and cornices. A band course runs along the sill level.

Number 122 has a doorway with a bracketed cornice, and a modern bay window to the left. Number 123 features a similar doorway and a wide tripartite window beneath a bracketed cornice. Number 124 also has a matching doorway, and a semi-hexagonal bay supported by Doric pillars and with heavy brackets under the sills.

Iron railings are present in the basement areas of numbers 122 and 124. All three houses have six-panelled doors with rectangular overlights; the doors at numbers 122 and 123 retain their original glazing patterns.
