Description

Nos. 3 and 4 Cardiff Road are a pair of low two-storey cottages dating from the 19th century. The cottages have walls made of stone rubble, with the heads of the upper windows positioned at eaves level. The ground floor openings feature chambered heads made of brick.

No. 3 has a lean-to outshut on the right side. The main part of the house has a doorway with a ledged door and a modern gabled hood to the right. To the left, there is an outward opening window that is three panes wide, both above and below.

No. 4 has two outward opening windows that are three panes wide above, and one below to the left. The doorway features a ledged door and a rough wood trellis porch with a gabled hood. All windows have been replaced with 3 x 3 pane top opening casements, dating from around 1990. The cottages have a low pitch Welsh slate roof with two rebuilt red brick stacks. The rear elevation includes small outshuts. The interior has not been inspected during the resurvey.
