Description
Lidmore Farmhouse is a two-storey farmhouse constructed with limewashed rubble walls and a Welsh slate roof, featuring four corniced brick ridge and end stacks. The building has two wings, with the narrower one set back on each elevation. The main front faces the garden and includes a three-window range of sashes on the left side of the main unit, with two larger sashes and one smaller sash on the ground floor, alongside a gabled porch. The porch is made of rock-faced stone with brick dressings, including a moulded brick cambered arch, a flagstone floor, and a boarded door. The first-floor windows are 6/6-pane sashes with cambered heads, while the ground floor has 4/8-pane windows. The right set-back wing features a similar first-floor sash and a ground-floor casement. At the rear, the main range has a single-storey lean-to with small windows and a doorway. The left downhill unit has a first-floor sash, a plain ground-floor doorway, and a small deep-set rectangular window with mullions and an 8-pane casement nearby.
Inside, the farmhouse is believed to have open fireplaces in the main wing, along with some chamfered cross beams and exposed joists.
