Description
Lower South Terrace at Dyffryn Gardens is a Grade II listed terrace, primarily constructed of limestone with some reconstituted stone. It features a low coursed rubble retaining wall with a balustrade on either side of a central exedra. Each side has six sections of balustrading, with each section consisting of ten balusters placed between plinths that are topped by urns, and there are plain end walls. In the center, five shallow curved steps, which are backed by a low wall adorned with a pair of urns, lead down to the lawn below. In front of the steps, there is a small sundial set on three wide octagonal steps, supported by an octagonal shaft.
