Description
Well House is a thatched cottage made of limewashed and painted stone rubble, featuring a steep-pitched roof with end stacks. The main part of the building has two storeys, while there is a single-storey wing with an attic on the left side. The cottage has a two-window range of small lattice casements under painted wood lintels on both wings. The central doorway is sheltered by a porch formed by the thatched roof, which extends forward in a distinctive nose shape, and there is a boarded door. Additionally, there is a small forward extension on the front right. The rear of the main range is not limewashed.
Inside, the cottage retains an open fireplace with stairs beside it, along with chamfered unblackened cross-beams and exposed joists.
