Description

Great House with forecourt walls and gatepiers, dating from the early 18th century. The building is rendered with a slate roof and features four stone stacks. It is two storeys high with a three-unit frontage, which includes a projecting gabled central block with five windows and two gabled wings with two windows each. The central gable has a semi-circular headed sash window, with a sundial above it, and each wing gable features an oval window. The other windows are square-headed sashes with glazing bars and moulded stone architraves. The entrance has a central panelled door with a wooden doorcase that includes a pediment supported by scroll brackets. The ends and central unit have chamfered quoins.

The stone-walled garden forecourt is complemented by a pair of square stone gatepiers and a small stone footbridge that crosses a stream. Inside, the entrance doorway leads to a lobby situated against the central chimney. To the right is a hall, followed by a kitchen in the wing beyond. To the left is a parlour, with a dining room located in the wing beyond that. A wooden stair is located at the rear of the parlour, while a stone stair is at the rear of the chimney. The parlour features early 18th-century panelling, and the kitchen has a fireplace dated 1710.
