Description

Kingscombe is a two-storey, three-window house dating from the 18th century. It has a double-pile plan, meaning that rooms are arranged along a central corridor with access to both front and rear. The exterior is stuccoed over local stone, with the stone exposed at the rear. The roof is slate, with rendered chimneys. The main entrance faces south. The first floor has three sash windows with 12 panes, and no horns. On the ground floor, two similar sash windows flank a central doorway, which has an overlight with intersecting glazing. The doorway has panelled reveals and a panelled door, now set within a modern Doric porch. To the right is a lower two-storey extension, with a single six-pane sash window on each floor.
