Description
The Wenvoe War Memorial is a tall stone structure set on a rustic plinth formed by nine irregular smaller kerbstones. It is located within a circular paved area that features interspersed kerb stones and is accessed by steps with flank walls from the road. The main stone has been left in a rough state, but it includes dressed panels for inscriptions. On the east face of the monolith, there is a dressed panel that reads, "TO THE HONOURED MEMORY OF THE MEN FROM THIS PARISH WHO DIED FOR THEIR COUNTRY IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1919," followed by the names of the deceased. Below this, it also states, "ALSO TO THE MEMORY OF THOSE WHO FELL IN THE WORLD WAR 1939-1945," with additional names listed underneath. Six of the plinth kerbstones are inscribed with the names of those who served in World War I.
