N tower and attached stretch of precinct wall at Ewenny Priory (house)

The north tower and attached section of the precinct wall at Ewenny Priory is a Grade I listed building. It is constructed of stone rubble with some ashlar and is currently roofless, with the walls not reaching their full height and the battlements missing. A stone arch on the south side connects to the stable courtyard, and there are footings or remains of the precinct wall at the rear angles on both sides. The tower has two storeys and a heavily splayed base.

On the north elevation, there is an arrow loop at ground level and a ruined window above it. To the east, there is another arrow loop, a trefoil-headed light on the first floor, and a corbel table above. On the west side, there is a former window at ground floor level. The south side features an incomplete wide arched entrance at ground floor, with the core of the wall previously extending at right angles to the left; to the right, there is an arch leading to the stable courtyard, along with remains of a first-floor doorway that provided access to the wall walk. Nearby, there is a cross base.

Inside, there is a stone vaulted room with deep and wide embrasures for the windows, which include stepped seats. The walls show scars of former ribs that were supported on heavy corbels.
