Stable Court N Range at Ewenny Priory (house)

The Stable Court North Range at Ewenny Priory is a 19th-century stable building that, along with the barn on the same axis, forms the northern side of the court, with stables and a carriage house positioned opposite each other to the east and west. This long rectangular structure features a shallow cross-gabled porch bay on the south side. It is constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and has a hipped roof covered with Welsh slate.

The building is two storeys high, with a central chamfered basket-arched porch doorway that has an oculus above it. On either side of the porch are two similar bays, each containing a central door flanked by cambered-arched iron-framed windows with tipping casements and multipane glazing. The first floor has smaller similar windows positioned centrally above the doors. To the right, the ground floor door and one window have been combined to create a garage entrance, although the voussoirs are still retained. The rear elevation includes a chimney, small ventilation holes, and one cambered-headed boarded window. The east wall has a similar opening that is now partly blocked.

Inside, the building features a limewashed interior with a stable tile floor, and the porch has a cobbled floor with a panelled door.
