Description
The former tramroad and railway bridge over Moor Lane is a Grade II listed structure. The tramroad bridge features a skewed near semi-circular arch made of dressed stone, with approach abutments that have large quoins. The left side retains its coping, while the right side has blue brick coping embossed with the word 'Lipton'. The arch consists of long voussoirs that extend into the abutments, and it has a keystone. Originally, there was no parapet, with the coping positioned only one course above the keystone, but a later parapet of blue brick has been added. The interior of the bridge is constructed of rubble, with visible holes for the wooden construction framework on each side. The railway bridge to the west is made of blue brick in English bond, featuring a matching skewed roof created with angled bricks, which form a decorative three-course arch. There is some patching with concrete present.
