Description
St David's Well, also known as Ffynnon Dewi, is a well surrounded by a small enclosure made of rubble stone, which stands between 1 and 2 meters high. The enclosure has been restored, with stones on top creating a rough coping. The wall of the enclosure curves to the east to accommodate the well's roof, which is made of large stone slabs. Access to the stone-floored enclosure is provided by a small stone stile. A gated entrance leads down four stone steps into a curved chamber that is currently dry, featuring a culvert in the right wall. There is a niche in the enclosure wall on the left and two curved stone ledges on the right. Nearby, an inscribed stone records the history and restoration of the well.
