Description
St Non's Well is a Grade II* listed holy spring traditionally believed to have emerged at the birth of Saint David and has been a site of pilgrimage since medieval times. The well features a small rectangular stone basin set in low rubble, enclosed by a tunnel-vaulted well-house that is open at the west end. Inside the basin, there is a step leading into the water at the west end and a ledge at the east end. The interior is whitewashed. A purple sandstone front step includes an incised run-off channel leading to a secondary small rectangular basin, which is made of monolithic sandstone and also has a run-off channel at the front. There are cobbled small paved steps on each side.
