Description

Ffynnon Fawr is a rectangular well house made of grey stone. It features a camber-headed doorway with an iron gate and steps that lead down to a vaulted cistern. On the left side, there is a stone step or possibly a seat. On the right side, a plaque displays inscriptions in both Welsh and English, which read:

"Y Fynnon Fawr"

"Mae Dwr Yn Fendith Angenreidol Rhoddes Duw Inni Ar Lawr; Cofiwyn 'Awdur Pob Daioni' Wrth Yfed Dwr O 'r Fynnon Fawr'

"Water Is A Necessary Blessing Which God Has Given Us On Earth; Let Us Remember 'The Author Of All Goodness' As We Drink From Fynnon Fawr."
