Description
The Farmers' Arms is a building constructed of stone with a pebbledashed finish. It features painted rendered surrounds and sills at the front, while the sides and rear are rendered. The roof is made of Welsh slate, with a stone chimney stack on the early unit to the right and yellow brick chimney stacks on the later unit to the left. At the rear, there is a single-storey stone cross wing at the junction of two sections, along with a further parallel wing that creates a rear courtyard.
The front range on the right has two bays, with small 6/6 pane casement windows on the first floor and larger similar windows on the ground floor. A former central doorway has been converted into a window. The later range on the left features deep 8/8 pane horned sash windows with painted rendered surrounds and cambered heads, along with a central gabled porch that has mostly been renewed.
Inside, the building has been mainly refurbished, but the batter on the rear wall of the older unit is still visible.
