Description
The Roving Bridge over the Neath Canal at Giant's Grave is a single-span bridge. The original stonework is made of snecked rubble, while the restoration features random rubble. The bridge has a segmental arch constructed with tooled voussoirs and larger dressed quoins. The parapet has been updated with flat stone copings. The hump-backed deck is surfaced with concrete and extends on the south side to create ramped approaches. On the west side, the parapet of the approach slopes down to ground level next to the canal.
