Description
The barn at Crugau is a structure built from thin squared stone and features a slate roof with unusually deep eaves and stone slab eaves soffits. The front of the barn has openings positioned to the right, including a cambered arch that is dated 1830 on the keystone, complete with a hoodmould. There is a window on each side of the arch, with triangular-faced blocks projecting over timber lintels. The left side has a wall without windows. The left end gable contains two blocked arched openings at ground level, with the left one being a window and the right one a door. Above these, there is a central arched opening with raised imposts and keyblocks, along with a small stone shelf over the upper opening. The rear of the barn features a similar entry with a hoodmould.
