Description

Lock House is a house constructed of painted rubble stone, featuring a slate roof and 20th-century brown brick stacks at the original end walls, with a larger stack at the northern end. The southern end has a 20th-century addition that matches the original roof line. The house is one and a half storeys tall and has a double fronted design with small-paned casement windows. There are two pairs of casement windows that break the eaves under catslide roofs, alongside a triple casement window on the left and a casement pair on the right of a broad doorway that has a 20th-century half-glazed door. The ground floor openings have cambered heads with stone voussoirs and stone sills. There is a lean-to on the right end wall and a loft window above it. A 20th-century rendered one-bay addition is located on the left end, which includes a 20th-century casement pair on the ground floor front. Additionally, there is a window on each floor facing the southern end towards the canal. The property is not available for inspection.
