Description
Cefn Brynich Canal Bridge Aqueduct is a canal aqueduct constructed from rubble stone. It features four broad elliptical arches made with stone voussoirs, with some arches lined in black brick, likely from the late 19th or early 20th century. The structure has low piers made of squared stone with cutwaters, and there is a raised band at the level where the arches spring. The cutwaters continue upward and are chamfered off at the height of the arch crowns. Above these, flat piers extend up to just below the base of the parapet. There are raised piers on each side of the outer arches, and the ends of the bridge curve outward. The parapet is present only on the west side.
