Description
Lock Cottage is a house that was originally a pair of cottages. It is constructed from rubble stone and features an imitation slate roof with a close eave and small stone stacks at each end. The building has two storeys and a three-window range of small-paned hopper type windows. The upper windows, located under the eaves, have 6 panes each, while the lower windows have cambered heads with stone voussoirs and consist of 9 panes. These are alternated with two doors that also have similar cambered heads. The doors are made of board and have stone sills. A 20th-century loft window has been inserted in the south end wall, and there is a 20th-century added lean-to at the rear. The property is not available for inspection.
