Description
The Quarryworkers Cottages at Aberclydach are a pair of industrial housing units built in a dual row plan. The design features two cottages that are accessed at a higher level at the front, which sit above two cottages that are entered at ground floor level at the rear. This arrangement creates a tall and narrow structure. The cottages are constructed from stone rubble that was once limewashed, and they now have a corrugated roof with a central ridge and an end stack, likely shared by the two cottages vertically.
At the rear, the two lower cottage doorways have planked doors and are flanked by windows. Above these are small windows on the ground floor and very small windows on the first floor. The front of the building facing the lane also has two doors flanked by windows, with small openings on the first floor, some of which have been blocked.
