Description

The group of seven chest tombs is located near the south side of Aberclydach chapel cemetery. The first four tombs are arranged in a line parallel to the chapel's side wall, numbered from east to west. Tombs five and six are situated slightly further south, with tomb seven next to tomb six. All the tombs are constructed from local stone and feature plain designs, though some inscriptions are difficult to read.

Tomb one has a primary inscription on the north side within a decorative panel that includes a floral motif, with an epitaph inscription on the south side that is partially collapsed. Tomb two has an inscription on its slab, an earlier inscription on the south side that is illegible, and another on the east side, with an epitaph on the north side. Tomb three features a primary inscription on the north side in an oval panel supported by fluted piers, with a moulded slab and a collapsed south side. Tomb four has a tooled inscription panel on the south side, another inscription on the north side, urn-shaped corners, and a moulded slab. Tomb five includes a primary inscription on its slab, an additional inscription on the north side, and lengthy epitaphs. Tomb six has an inscription on its slab and an earlier panel on the north side, made of coursed stone. Tomb seven is currently collapsed.
