Description
The Bar to the Bear Hotel is a short, two-storey terrace building featuring an uneven four-window roughcast front for the Bar and a two-window scribed stucco front for No. 5. It has an undulating slate roof and a roughcast chimney stack, with mainly small pane sash glazing. The building includes a later 19th-century shop front with a splayed entrance to No. 5. Architectural details include an end pilaster strip, a cill band, and a plinth for the Bar, as well as cambered architraves with keystones on the outer ground floor windows. There is a tripartite window next to a pedimented architrave above a four-panel door.
