Description
The small barn located east of Pont Rhys Powell Farm is constructed from pink and grey sandstone rubble and features a Welsh slate roof. It is a small three-bay barn with a later addition of a cowhouse that has a lean-to roof made of corrugated asbestos sheets. The barn has central opposed doors leading to the threshing floor, along with small slit vents on either side and in each gable end. This barn remains unaltered and serves as a small field barn.
Inside, there is a paved threshing floor. The structure includes two principal rafter trusses with raking struts, three tiers of trenched purlins, and a ridge piece. All the timber, including the surviving secondary rafters, is original.
