Description
The barn at Wern-gochlyn Farm is constructed from roughly coursed red and grey sandstone rubble and features a Welsh slate roof. It has central opposed doors, with two long slit vents to the left and three vents arranged in two tiers to the right for the hay tallet. The left gable has three tiers of vents, while the lower right gable has four. The gable verges are also present.
Originally, the barn likely had seven bays, but it was modified to include a nine bay roof in the late 19th century. Inside, there is a paved central threshing floor, supported by eight sawn king-post trusses with iron straps, along with three tiers of staggered purlins and a ridge piece.
