Description
Emlyn House is a two-storey house that forms part of an informal terrace and features four bays. It has a slate gabled roof, which includes a small two-pane skylight, and a red brick chimney stack with nine pots located on the right side. The eaves are boxed, and the facade is painted stucco with a plinth. The first floor has twelve-pane hornless sash windows, and there is a sash window on the left side of the ground floor.
Access to the house is via slate steps leading up to a 20th-century four-panelled door located in the second bay. This door features a fanlight with radiating bars, all set within an arched stucco surround that includes fluted pilasters and a moulded arch.
The shop front, which has been renewed, occupies the two right-hand bays and includes pilasters with consoles. Above the plate glass pane, there is a shallow fascia, and to the right, a two-thirds glazed shop door is set in a deep recess. The right-hand end wall above the roof of No 1 is rendered.
The shop interior is from the 20th century and is now linked to No 1. The interior of the house has not been inspected, but there are internal shutters on the left-hand ground floor window.
