Description
9 Stone Street is a house built in an informal terrace, featuring 3 bays and 2 and a half storeys, with lower eaves than the adjacent houses. It has a large rubble stone chimney on the left, which is shared with No 11. The roof is gabled and covered with concrete tiles, featuring swept eaves and three tall gables. The facade is painted stucco with a plinth, and it has small 4-pane sash windows on the upper floors and smaller ones in the attic. On the left side of the ground floor, there is a 20th-century single pane window, while the right side has a shop front that likely dates from the early 20th century. This shop front includes panelled pilasters with fluted blocks above, framing a fascia and blocks above, which support two recessed doors flanking a three-sided shop window. The house door is located in the centre on the left, and the shop door on the right, both of which are half-glazed with plain overlights. The rear of the building has concrete tiles, render, and a low gabled wing to the left with a truncated end stack. The interior has not been inspected.
