Description

Corner house of 2 storeys, 3 bays to front, and 3 to Water Street. Steep-pitched slate roof, hipped on the corner, with stone and brick external chimney to Water Street E end. Deep eaves. Painted stucco with painted stone plinth. Front has 3 mid C20 metal casement windows over projecting timber pair of shopfronts, C19 in origin, altered in C20 with almost flat roof. Right shopfront has recessed central doors and plate glass windows in mid C20 bronzed metal frames. Square chamfered C19 pier to right. To left is small C19 shopwindow canted in to left of recess with 2 doors, recess carried on chamfered timber pier. Return to Water Street has 3 irregular window bays offset to right. First floor has metal window to left, similar to those on front, and two 12-pane hornless sashes to right grouped above a C20 window and a door. Larger C20 window in bronzed metal frame to ground floor left (left of window above).

Ground floor opened up as shop, with several large oak beams, squared, running both from front to back and side to side. Upper floors and roof not available for inspection.
