Description

Croft House is a mid-terrace house that stands two storeys high and features four bays. It is similar in design to No 15 and shares the same roofline with Nos 9-17. The house has a slate gabled roof with a yellow brick chimney positioned on the left side. The facade is finished in unpainted pebble dash, accented with stucco window surrounds, a sill band, and a painted plinth.

The first floor showcases shouldered surrounds with vermiculated keys around large horned sash windows, which are marginally glazed. The right sash is positioned very close to the party wall with No 11. On the ground floor, there is a small timber canted bay window to the left, featuring marginal glazing bars on the front sash, narrow sidelights, and a moulded cornice. The central two bays include a door paired with a shop window, while the fourth bay has a plain 20th-century door with a boarded overlight.

The shopfront is designed with four pilasters framing the door on the left and the window on the right, with caps that break forward from a shallow frieze and a moulded cornice. The entrance features a four-panel door with a plain rectangular overlight, and the shop window consists of four lights divided into eight sections by a thin middle transom. There is a blind box situated above the cornice.

Although not observed, it is reported that the interior retains some original details, including doors with brass door handles and a curved staircase.
