Description
Eagle Lodge is a picturesque two-storey cottage built from hammer-dressed local limestone. The front and left sides feature informally coursed stone, while the rear and right sides are uncoursed. The cottage has selected quoins and a slate roof with a generous overhang at the verge and eaves, a tile ridge, and brick end-chimneys. The verge is plain, supported by projecting purlin ends. There is a small single-storey lean-to extension on the left side.
On the front elevation, the doorway is located to the left of centre and is topped by a slate canopy porch supported by brackets on corbels. To the right of the door is a canted bay window, and a small window is situated to the left. The upper windows, along with the window in the extension and the window to the left of the door, are all pairs of six-pane casements or fixed lights with mullions. There is a similar window on the left elevation and another window on the right elevation, which features eight-pane lights.
