Description
This listing describes a pair of small iron gates located at the top end of a footpath on the south side. The gates feature spear-head rails, with bottom, mid, and top rails, the latter curving slightly upwards to the meeting stile. The southeast gate is fixed against a late 19th-century fluted cast-iron bollard topped with a ball finial, which is inscribed with "Jones and Sons, Priory Foundry, Carmarthen." The gates are flanked by plain stone piers that project from the surrounding walls. There is a stretch of wall running east that has triangular iron-slag coping stones. The gate was removed and re-erected in 2002.
