Description

This listing describes a pair of wrought iron gates from the early 18th century, originally located in Feltham, Middlesex. The gates are flanked by yellow stock brick piers that feature a shell arch headed recess. They have a stone plinth and coping topped with a ball finial. There are fixed narrow panels on each side of the gates, and the overthrow is decorated with strapwork, urns, and leaves. The gates themselves consist of vertical bars, rails, and spear-headed dog bars, with spiral decoration in the side panels.
