Description

The Lodge, previously known as Thorpe House Cottage, is an 18th-century cottage constructed of red brick. It features a gabled tile roof with a chimney stack at each end and stands two storeys tall. The front elevation has a central six-panelled door beneath a bracketed hood, flanked by two-light, six-pane casement windows on either side. The first floor also has similar windows with a central recess. At the rear, there is a slated catslide roof. Additionally, there is a later single-storey wing on the north side, made of brick and topped with a slate roof.
