Description

Coed Fryn is a terraced house set back from No. 24, featuring painted stucco and an imitation slate roof. The roof has a renewed small modillion eaves cornice and a renewed brick stack on the left. The house is two stories high with a three-window range, all of which have 20th-century uPVC fenestration. There are two late 19th-century canted bay windows on each side, each adorned with cornices; the upper cornice is continuous with the eaves cornice. Above the central arched doorway, there is a plain window with panelled reveals and soffit. The 20th-century doorcase, added in 1981, includes a keystone and archivolt, and now features a minimal open pediment on console brackets over reeded half columns. Access to the house is via four steps leading up to a 20th-century door with a fanlight that has radiating tracery. To the extreme right, there is a six-panel passage door set in a blind-arched opening.

The front of the property includes a dwarf grey limestone wall and wrought iron railings, similar to those at Nos. 23 and 24. The railings have scrolled arrow-headed finials that alternate above the top and middle rails, with standards topped by urn finials. The centre and right-hand gates are of a similar design; the centre gates, originally a pair, have been welded together as one, while there is a single gate to the right.

Inside, the interior has been altered, with a large cellar now functioning as a single room, which was previously divided into five rooms. There is an enclosed 20th-century stair located at right angles on the back wall.
