No 1 with railings and gate

This building is a house at No 1, constructed with painted stucco and featuring a close-eaved roof with a northern end stack; the southern stack has been removed. It is two storeys high and has a three-window range of horned plate glass sashes, along with a 20th-century door and a plain fanlight. The openings are framed with plain raised surrounds, and there is a keystone above the door. Additional architectural details include a raised plinth, angle strips, a first-floor sill band, and an eaves band. The rear of the house has painted render and 20th-century replacement windows, along with a half-glazed rear door that has two arched glazed panels. There is also an added northeast rear wing.

In front of the house, there is a garden wall and railings. The wall is a low plinth made of grey limestone, and the railings are wrought iron featuring spiked and scrolled finials that rise alternately above the top and middle rails, with standards topped by urn finials. The gate matches the design of the railings.

Inside, there is a staircase with stick balusters and a rounded rail. The doors and fireplaces have been replaced.
