Description
The outbuilding at Glandulais is a range of structures dating back to the 19th century, constructed from whitewashed rubble stone with slate roofs. The central barn features a large cambered-headed entry with stone voussoirs and double doors, flanked by long vent loops on each side, which are mirrored on the rear.
To the left, there is a single-storey former stable that has a full-height door on the right and two windows on the left. The lofted range to the right has a corrugated iron roof and rounded corners, with a door at the extreme left, a window in a former door to the left of centre, flanked by small vent loops, a door to the right, and a window at the extreme right, all featuring timber lintels. The right side has a curved ground floor angle, and there are three square loft windows under the eaves, with only the right window aligned with the door below. The right gable end includes a loft door with a timber lintel.
Inside, the barn is supported by three pegged tie-beam and collar trusses, while the lofted range to the right has a low floor and three 19th-century pine trusses, with traces of a previous roof visible at a lower level.
