Description
The barn at Tir Glan Cennen is a Grade II listed structure built from whitewashed rubble stone and topped with a corrugated iron roof. It features a full-height entry located near the center of the original range, which has been extended to the west with added end and rear walls, creating a full-height open bay at the right end. There are long vent loops on both sides of the main entry, with an additional door further to the right. At the extreme left, there is another door at a lower level due to the slope, accompanied by a vent loop to the right. Both left and right doors are framed with stone voussoirs. The eastern end wall includes a loft door, as does the original western end, which is now internal, both also featuring stone voussoirs. The rear wall of the central barn has a lower door and one vent loop.
The original range consists of six bays, with two bays lofted at the left end, two bays in the center designated as a barn, and two lofted bays at the right. Each loft floor on the left and right is supported by two beams.
