Description

A fine freestanding wall mostly 3m in height, with a coping of upright stones slightly crenellated. Uncoursed random rubble, very well laid. The wall starts near the corner of the north walled garden, turns south at the roadside, and follows the roadside to a short distance east of the east cottage. At both entrances the wall turns inward to meet gatepiers. The piers are in ashlar with single stone copings on which are carved little crenellations to match the wall copings.
