Description
Derwydd Outer Wall and Gates is a fine freestanding wall, mostly 3 meters high, featuring a coping of upright stones that are slightly crenellated. It is constructed of uncoursed random rubble, which is very well laid. The wall begins near the corner of the north walled garden, turns south at the roadside, and continues along the roadside for a short distance east of the east cottage. At both entrances, the wall turns inward to meet gatepiers. These piers are made of ashlar and have single stone copings, which are adorned with small crenellations that match the wall's coping.
