Description

Osbourne House is a terraced house, paired with Cyncoed to the north, dating from the 19th century. It is two storeys high with a two-window facade finished in unpainted stucco. The roof is pitched and covered with slate, featuring a red brick end stack on the south side and a painted timber eaves board.

On the first floor, there are 12-pane timber sash windows with slate sills. The ground floor has a deeply-recessed timber door on the left, which includes a small rectangular overlight and a slate step. To the right, there is a three-sided canted bay window with a dwarf wall rendered in stucco beneath a continuous slate sill. This bay window has a 12-pane timber sash at the front and 4-pane side-lights, topped with a cornice and a flat leaded roof.

The small, square forecourt is enclosed by a rendered dwarf wall with locally-made wrought iron railings. The railings feature oversized scrolls set between two horizontal bars, with the upper bar adorned with small spearheads flanked by miniature scrolls.
