Description

Hen Gapel Milo is a side-entry chapel built with a small vestry extension on the right. The chapel features a rendered symmetrical front and rendered gable ends, topped with a slate roof that has a tile ridge and a generous overhang at the eaves and verges, with a boarded soffit. The front has four windows, with the two middle ones being taller and flanking the pulpit position. The windows are sashes in exposed frames, featuring interlacing glazing bars at the top within round heads. There are two boarded doors with fanlights, which also have interlacing glazing bars, and the original glass is handmade. The rear of the building is constructed from rubble masonry, with windows that have rough stone surrounds and rough sills.

The vestry is also rendered and has a timber door above a flight of stone steps. There is a later roof over the staircase made of corrugated iron, supported by a timber post. Above the steps is a three-light casement window, with a reduced doorway beneath it, and an end chimney.

Inside, there is a gallery on three sides, supported by the entrance porches and two cast-iron columns. The gallery features a panelled front with small superimposed corner panels. There is a round-headed boarded panel on the wall at the rear, where the former pulpit position was located.
