Description

The chapel, built in the 18th century, stands detached at the right side of its yard and now faces east. A later single-bay, two-story vestry extension has been added to the gable end, nearest the road. The chapel is constructed of rough-rendered stonework, with smooth render outlining the door and window openings. It has a slate roof and cast-iron rainwater goods. The front elevation facing east features two original tall sash windows flanking the pulpit, and two later doors. Similar windows, positioned in the same way, are found in the rear wall facing west. Both pairs of windows have interlacing glazing bars at the head. The doors are framed and battened, and above the transom, fanlights with matching interlacing glazing bars are present. The vestry extension is also of rendered stonework with a slated roof and features large, mid-19th century hornless sash windows with four panes, one beside the door and two facing the road, with additional margin panes in the two windows facing the road.

Inside, the chapel has five rows of pews facing forward, with three passageways, plus two rows each side of the pulpit facing inwards; the pews are only slightly raked. Both the pews and the set fawr (platform) are of oak and feature plain, unornamented panelling. The set fawr is not raised and has its rear corners broadly chamfered with panels set at 45 degrees. The pulpit’s centre projects forward, with two pointed-head panels at the front and one on each side, separated by turned standards. It has a slight jetty above the base and is flanked by a moulded handrail on turned balusters, with partly turned newels terminating in knobs. The base stage is also panelled. Behind the preacher's position is a wainscot backing with a seat and cornice.
