Lofted Cartshed at Cilwendeg Farm

The lofted cartshed at Cilwendeg Farm is an early 19th-century structure built from rubble stone and topped with a slate roof. It features a long range with two small 2-light loft windows that have slate sills, shutters, and timber lintels, positioned symmetrically above four tall elliptical arched cart entries supported by square piers and adorned with Cilgerran stone voussoirs. The north end wall includes a loft window with cut stone voussoirs, while the south gable has partially collapsed as of 1994. Inside, there are pine floor beams and stapled collar trusses that are pegged at the apex.

At the rear, there is a small court of single-storey outbuildings on three sides. The eastern outbuilding has a corrugated sheet roof and three broad windows, one of which includes a door. A broad door at the rear is flanked by loops. The north range features a graded slate roof that is hipped to the east, with two cut-stone arches on the right—one open and one partially blocked—and two full-height openings on the left separated by a concrete block pier. A short west return has graded slates, two cut-stone arches, and a loft light over the door at the end gable.
