Description
The lofted cartshed at Cilgynydd is a 19th-century structure made of whitewashed rubble stone, topped with a slate close-eaved roof. The loft door is located slightly to the right of the center, positioned under the eaves and flanked by two pairs of dove-holes on each side, each pair featuring a stone shelf. This loft door is situated above a broad elliptical-arched cart entry, which is framed by stone voussoirs. To the left of the cart entry, there is a window with a timber lintel. The left end of the building includes three similar pairs of dove-holes in the gable apex. On the right end, there are outside steps with slate treads leading up to the loft door, which also has a timber lintel and three pairs of dove-holes above it.
