Description
The Rest is a farmhouse dating from the 19th century, featuring painted stucco with a slate roof and rendered end wall stacks. It has an L-plan layout and is two storeys high, with a three-window south front that includes stucco quoins and hoodmoulds over 12-pane sashes. The centre door is set within a later 19th-century brick and timber porch, which has coloured glass margins on the glazed panels of the double doors. The eaves are bracketted, and the west gable has a small half-hip, also with brackets. At the rear, there is a northwest outshut and a northeast wing. A small 12-pane sash window is located in the west end wall of the outshut, which is made of whitewashed stone.
