Description
The outbuilding on the southeast side of the farmyard at Ciliauwen is a 19th-century lofted stable and cartshed constructed from rubble stone and topped with asbestos sheet roofs. The lofted section on the right features external stone steps leading to a loft door located on the right end wall. Above this, there are two small square loft windows situated under the eaves, which overlook two similar ground floor windows and a central door. The ground floor openings are framed with stone voussoirs, while the loft door has a flat lintel.
To the left, there is a single-storey range that includes two cart entries with cambered heads, separated by a square pier. Beyond this, there is a narrower pier leading to a possibly added end section that contains three doors. All openings in this section also feature stone voussoirs, with the voussoirs made from purple Caerbwdi sandstone sourced from St Davids.
