Description
This is a terraced house located at 42 High Street, constructed with painted stucco and featuring an imitation slate roof that is half-hipped to the east. Historical photographs indicate that there was a chimney at the eastern end of the building. The house has three storeys and two bays, characterized by bracketed deep eaves. The windows are plate glass sash, with the top floor windows being narrow, the first floor windows wider, and the ground floor windows not aligned with a 20th-century plate glass window on the extreme left. There is a 20th-century glazed door to the left of the center and a large 20th-century plate glass window to the right. While the openings remain consistent with those seen in a 1930s photograph, the fascia and cornice have been removed. At the rear, there is a gabled wing. The interior has not been inspected.
